Hello Royals

I served with 1RCR from 1979-1983
Remustered to Firefighter
Retired Sgt 2002 Ottawa

I still keep in touch with some of the boys had a great time in B Coy kept Jim Hickson pretty busy as we tended to get into a wee bit of trouble. Having a hard time trying to open up pic from Jims photo gallery need some help. Any of my old buds out there drop me a line.

Hey Randy. How the in the hell are you? The last time I saw and spoke to you was when I was down at CFB Shearwater for a softball tournament. We were at the JR. Ranks at the time. I am glad you did well as a firefighter. There was a whole lot that went firefighter. Noseworthy, Picot, the list goes on. Oh yeah, great times in the BTN. Especially in Norway. There was no doubt that Jim was always questioning your where abouts and also your activities. You sure kept him on his toes. Anyways nice to hear from you and drop me a line.

Randy, I was with you in London from 79 to 83.  London was a good time as was Norway.  The Oxbox is long gone but Bert and Gusses Pizza is still there I think.  I left London in 83 for Germany along Dally, Ells and a few others.  Dally is a sgt postie in Halifax and Steve retired in Kingston a couple of years ago according to Dally.

I remember Lt Butters asking "if I saw Pte. Beckerleg?"

I said "I dunno...He said something about England and I haven't seen him since"  Grin

I was the guy who ended up going and talking to him and I conviced him to come back. That was a  hard one as he was convinced that he was going to England even if he had to walk all the way.

Hey BJ,  bout time you got back to me, yeh i heard you were in the old haunts.  I was runnin the highways and i'm sorry i missed ya.  Did you recieve the e-mail i sent you about three weeks ago ?  It was a poem the i had written and i was asking your opinion on it.  I sat on it until the other day when my mood was such that i released it on the forum here.  Got some pretty good response,  maybe you read it?   Still in contact with Davie boy from time to time we talk on the phone, sounds like he is doing well for himself in the oil buisness!  Good to here from you old friend, missed you at the luncheon last summer at Lincoln truck stop in Fredricton area.  Hope your all well.  talk to you soon BJ. Thanks for getting back to me. As for the poem, I did not get it, could you resend.
All is well here on the East Coast. The pace here is alittle slower than most other places and when you get old....not that I did....you need to slow down. Please keep intouch.

hey BJ,  the poem is in individual announcements, i forget to include the title which is "The Soldiers Flag".  Good to hear from you my freind!  I was running with Davy boy last week he seems to be doing ok.  Jeannie got her AZ license this past week and now she can drive my truck, i've been authorized to train her at CRS, we are leaving in the AM for Vanncouver.  I always stop at Brandon Manitoba to check my mail so you keep writing as well.  Glad to hear alll is well, hope to see you sometime, say hello to Madaline (is that spelled right?) bye for now.

All is well here. the spelling is " Madeline" but most people spell it as you did. I will try to get at the poem as I am very interested in it. Are you and Jeannie going to work as a team?

Randy how are you doing? Its been years. TQ3 in late 78 seems a long way back.
Seen a lot of posts from people I know.
I have been in contact with both Randy G. & John B. over the last year at times.
Last time I heard, John is actually  back in Canada since the start of the year but than it's been several months since we talked. He was living in the Subury area.

Best Wishes: Rick
