Zwie Klienes Beer, Bitter. Unt Ien Grosse for Grosse mike!  Wink

Hey Willy, what was the name of the bar. I am compliling of list of the names of bars and hangouts that, throughout the years, Royals frequented. Down in the south of Germany, in Baden Soellingen, a joint named Tiffany's was the closest and perhaps most frequents for the lads of 3RCR. And those lovely german girls, of course.

Was it worth it? Do bears crap in the woods?  For sure it was worth it great bar. If I remember correctly the reason it was put out of bounds was because a Canadian soldier got shot by an American soldier over a taxi dispute. I am almost certain the Canadian was RCR can't remember the name. I think the bar owners name was Gabby. She had two daughters Pete Makin married one I think. Does anybody remember Pete? Geez I can remember what happened forty years ago but I can't remember my wife's birthday or our anniversary. Sometimes I can't even remember what she sent me to the store for. Oh yeah if you are ever in a bar that is out of bounds and you are hiding from the Mp's make sure you feet don't show under the curtain you are hiding behind.

   P.s.

The worse part wasn't the cb . The worse part was being caught in the bar on a Friday night of a long weekend, and then having to spend the weekend in crow bar hotel . And then being marched to the mess hall in black coveralls wearing white socks in front of all your friends. At least you didn't have to wait in line for your food you went straight to the front of the line. prost
