Hi Willy

I don't know many lads from 2 RCR unless they came to 1 RCR. I am the only guy that went from Pte to CWO IN 1 RCR.

Jim I can accept that, having a German wife gave me 3 trips to Germany and being a bar men was not my doing, Danny Cox was RSM at the time and he needed a bar men asap I was commanding 82E in RECCE at the time and was sent to the WO & Sgt Mess by big Swede Neilson, I was not there very long.

Hi Willy,

Didn't they have jackets to fit you?, when I was a steward in the mess we had white jackets, but that was in ' 59 , and in London.

Hi Cor
The jackets were a little small and did I ever hate being there, I was a Recce man and my place was in the field not behind a bar. How about #4? Can anyone tell who he is?

#4 is Bill Brayshaw., #1 is Bud Brown, #2 is Frank Powers, I think #3 was named Kehoe, #5 is Willy Bowers, and #6 is Bob McDemaid.

Hi Bob your right on, #3 is Kehoe. I always though #4 was Jerry Ivy. Are you the Bob McDemaid in this picture? If so how have you been doing all these years?

Hi there, Willy.  Yes, I'm number 6.  Doing fine, last year moved to Cornwall from Timmins, and am semi-retired.  I've checked out this site fairly often, but have just discovered the pictures(thanks to Terry (Stoney) Burke, who brought it to my attention.  It sure is interesting to compare pictures from long ago to what we look like now!  Soon as we can figure out how to upload a picture in my profile, I'll be doing that.
