Jim, are you sure that was taken in 56 not in 63 when he won the section commander competition? Some of the guys look like I know most of them and I was not there during that time. I'm too young for that hahaha. Aldore

Aldore is definately right 55-57.I was a section comd. and P.T.I. at that time with Mook in D coy. Had the privaladge of seeing Mook,Gene Madore R.I.P. and a lot of others i hadn,t seen for 36 years at 2002 re-union,however my eyes and age don,t allow me to name the others although the faces are familiar. Jim I'm going to attempt to name them however some will be long shoots for sure and wrong. Lately this site is taking a lot of my time and enjoying some of the greatest memories of the p years passed. A full carreer with no regrets and a lovely pension haha Now with challenge; 1st row, Mookie, David, Maclennan, Gallant 2nd row; Meigs, Simmon, Beattie, Seymour, Neil Now, Jim it up to you for the corrections you used to be good at that MR Never Pass a Fault. By the way do you still play the guitar? I recall in the mid-eighties the short visit to house in Lahr, you beat the old guitbox till wee hours. Pro Patria Aldore

Great pic and a great memory Aldore..That pic was takien in 63 just before Mookie came to the Int Sec and replaced Jim Thistle. I had gone there shortly before and replaced Gene Madore, RIP. The others in the Int sec were Georgie Johnston, Pte Roberts and Barron, two young newfies. Attached to the Int sec were Gary Gagnon and Kiwiet as the unit photograpjhers. The drivers that cycled through were Archie Wylie and Andy McIntyre...the IOs were Jack Peltier, Bob Hersey, Bill Roddy. The Bn CP operators in the field were Bernie Herley and the driver was Paddy Eager...lots of laughs there...Rick
