Hey Jim;
Randy got me onto this site so thought I would send you a quick note to see how things were going for you. Randy tells me you're improving every time he talks to you. I apologize for not staying in touch (I detest phones) but perhaps this means will keep us a little closer. Libby says to say hi to Norma. We just bought our trailer so are hoping to see a bit more of Canada in the next few years. Hopefully we can get together during our travels. Stay in touch and hope your recovery is quick

Jim, Don't know if you remember me but you were my Pl WO in Recce Pl '82. I clearly remember rapelling in Meaford. You and I were at the top of the site and you kept sayin' "But Grant I'm too scared to go." You probably won't remember, but I helped give you the confidence you were so greatly lacking at the time. Hahaha!!! I'm glad to hear your doing fine. You're a great and well respected soldier....always will be. Watch out for my good friend Quazzie. He hasn't changed, not one bit. Take good care Jim.

Hi Grant
Of course I remember you. I remember one time I was Career Mgr. and when you came in I asked you if you had a plan cause everyone had to have a plan. You said "Sir yes I do" and with that said you bounced up on your feet and said (I was using the Lecture Training Bldg) "Sir This is now" with a piece of chalk in your hand you drew a vertical line across the 3 chalk boards. You went to the beginning and you said "Sir this is now 1986 and I'm Sgt". Then you moved down to the right and drew another tick mark and said "This is 1990 and I'm WO". Down to the right and another tick and you said "This is 1993 and I'm MWO. Then you moved to the end of the line and scribbled the date of 1996 and put in CWO and said "Watch out Sir I'm after your job".
Well how did you make out? Oh by the way I qualified Advance Mountain in 1973 before going to CFB Chilliwack lolol

Jim, It's good to hear from you. I retired in '99 and got hired with Peel Police two days later. I wanted two careers in a lifetime. If I can stomach this for another 15 years (til 60), I'll start on another. As far as our meeting in the Lecture Training Bldg, I remember it quite clearly. It's funny how one's priorities change.
Maybe it wasn't you hanging onto my leg on that cliff in Meaford. It was probably Randy. haha!!
Take care Sir....Grant
