Hi Ron & Don

Don't you recognize Cpl Scoty Steele? How about Jack Wheeler in front of him?

Jim

No BC Robinson Don. He wasn't with us then.

I really enjoy these pictures, Jim, particularly in the sense of The Regiment's history in northern Germany. As you know, I and those followed in your footsteps served in the south of Germany but, i was fortunate on several occassions to spend a Sunday afternoon enjoying a rec run related to the past. There was one picture with the lads sitting beside a wall on the damn that, had I not had a freaking flood, I could have matched with another generation....

One thing I would like for those responding is a bit more background anccedotal/ geographical information about the base, barracks or mess.

Jim:  The only Cpl in the picture is Doug (Scotty) Steele, as you said.  The only Lcpl looks like Moose (Bill) Chapman.  The stained glass windows from the churches which were presented by the battalions and ladies auxiliaries of The RCR were removed in 1970 and are now on display in the Regimental Museum.  All the best, RT
