To be sure it is the Weser River in Hamelin,I was an instructor on that course,it was the CP that sunk and just about took John Bray with it.Speaking of Hamelin, met Joe Bennett in Gagetown last weekend at the Regimental Birthday Mess Dinner and we were discussing that very place.Do you remember the Ice Box Bar and Joe with his birth control pills(aspirins)? hey Don ;
I remember it all so well and your picture just helped to remind me . I was with Pioneers and I drove the Cargo carreir , what a pig to swim . The best time was when the swimming was all over and everyone was gone ; myself and a few others were left as security . That's when the party began , of course only for a while because no one could figure out why we kept volunteering to do the security , they only realized that if us clowns were volunteering , there was something going on . They started changing the guard after a short period of time .
