THIS IS A LITTLE CRUDE BUT THIS GUY SAYS IT LIKE IT IS ..... IF DIRTY WORDS OFFEND YOU DON'T READ ANY FURTHER .... JUST HIT THE DELETE BUTTON NOW
Subject: Press Conference to die for. Thought you all might appreciate this.
For the few of you who missed him, R. Lee Ermey is the host of The History Channel's "Mail Call" and played the Drill Instructor in the movie, "Full Metal Jacket." He is a retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant and a very plain speaker, as you will soon read. So, for your entertainment, here is Retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant R. Lee Ermey at his first press conference. The main topic of discussion is a Marine in Iraq who shot an Iraqi insurgent to death. We pick up as the reporter asks about "how this potential war crime will affect our image in the world": Ermey: "WHAT KIND OF A PANSY- ASSED QUESTION IS THAT?" Reporter 1: "Well I think...."
Ermey: "THINK, FANCY BOY?! GET THIS THROUGH THAT SEPTIC TANK ON TOP OF YOUR SHOULDERS, MORON: I DON'T GIVE A DAMN WHAT YOU THINK, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME? THAT MARINE SHOT AN ENEMY COMBATANT, SHITHEAD; SO GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS AND DEAL WITH IT BEFORE I MAKE YOU MY OWN PERSONAL PIN CUSHION!
NEXT QUESTION: "YOU IN THE BLUE SUIT."
Reporter 2: Don't you think that the world's opinion of our operations is important?
Ermey: "OH SURE! YOU DON'T KNOW THE TIMES I HAVE CRIED MYSELF TO SLEEP WORRYING ABOUT WHAT SOME GODDAMNED FRENCH PANSY THINKS! OH THE DAYS I HAVE HAD TO WEEP BECAUSE SOME SHIT EATING TERRORIST SCUMBAG MIGHT BE MAD AT US, BECAUSE WE WENT INTO WHATEVER GOD FOR-SAKEN HOLE IN THE SHIT THAT HE LIVES IN AND KILLED HIM. WHAT THE HELL KIND OF DUMBASS QUESTION IS THAT, YOU PETER-PUFFING JACKASS? WE ARE THE UNITED STATE S OF A M ERICA , AND WHEN YOU ATTACK US, WE ARE GOING TO COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND BLOW YOUR STINKING CAMEL-LICKING CARCASS INTO PIECES SO SMALL WE WILL BE ABLE TO BURY YOUR SORRY ASS IN A THIMBLE!
YEAH, I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING. YOU ARE PROBABLY AFRAID, THINKING THAT I HAVE SUCH AN "EXTREME" ATTITUDE AND THAT I NEED TO BE MORE "SENSITIVE" TO OTHER PEOPLE'S FEELINGS. WELL LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING YOU POLE- SMOKING PANSY! I DON'T GIVE TWO SHITS WHAT YOU OR ANYBODY ELSE THINKS! THIS IS A DAMN WAR, AND IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE THAT, THEN YOU SHOULD GO HOME AND SUCK ON MAMMA'S TIT! DO YOU HEAR ME YOU RUNT? NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF MY PRESS ROOM BEFORE I GO CRAZY AND BEAT THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF YOU!
NEXT QUESTION: "YOU WITH THE UGLY-ASSED TIE. LOOK AT THAT THING! IT IS HIDEOUS!"
Reporter 3: " Aren't you going against the freedom of the press by.."
Ermey: "FREEDOM? WHAT IN BLUE HELL DO YOU KNOW ABOUT FREEDOM? I HAVE SWEATED MY ASS OFF IN JUNGLES, WHILE BEING SHOT AT FOR THIS NATION!
WHAT IN THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE YOU LITTLE SHIT-SUCKING WEASEL? WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU PUT YOUR ASS ON THE LINE FOR ANYTHING? AND YET YOU HAVE THE UNMITIGATED TEMERITY TO SHOW UP HERE AND MONDAY-MORNING QUARTERBACK THE ACTIONS OF A BRAVE MARINE, WHO WAS DEFENDING HIMSELF AND HIS UNIT FROM AN ATTACK BY SOME MURDEROUS AL-QUEDA SYMPATHIZER! YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT I AM CONCERNED ABOUT, NUMB-NUTS? I AM CONCERNED ABOUT A BUNCH OF GRABASSTIC, ORGANIZED MORONS WITH CAMERAS AND MICROPHONES DOING THEIR BEST TO PORTRAY OUR BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN AS WAR CRIMINALS! I AM CONCERNED ABOUT CHICKEN-SHIT PANSIES THAT WANT US TO NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS AND WHINE ABOUT THEIR PISS-ANT "FREEDOMS"!
Reporter 3: "I ..."
Ermey: "DID YOU HAVE A BIG BOWL OF STUPID FOR BREAKFAST THIS MORNING, NUMBNUTS? I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANOTHER WORD OUT OF THAT COMMIE CRY HOLE IN THAT SHIT-PILE YOU CALL A HEAD! ...AND THAT GOES TRIPLE FOR THE REST OF YOU PANSY-ASSED MORONS! NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF MY PRESS ROOM BEFORE I SHOVE MY BOOT SO FAR UP YOUR ASS THAT YOU CHOKE TO DEATH ON MY SHOELACES!"
Marine Drill Instructors have a language all their own. God bless them all!

Hi Tony No, I didn't believe in cursing at the troops and the one day I did I picked a wonderful day. I was CSM of A Coy and we were on parade. The RSM was Vince Spicer, like the picture below. It was a Wednesday like any other Wednesday and we were on parade. This Wednesday however was different as we had the CO's and 2i/c's wife in the bleachers. Well I mean who would have thought there would be women in the bleachers? Anyways the RSM whispered to me "look at the way they are dressed" and I looked and sure enough they were all over the place! They were moving their feet and I didn't waste time, I yelled out! "no wonder your dressing is off, your moving your Goddamn F*****G feet!!!! The whole Bn was laughing and I didn't know why until the RSM told me. Well I turned red and pink and the whole parade was a disaster to my way of thinking. Well after parade I was going to the Mess and that's when I heard it. "I wonder if the he got them to stop them moving their Goddamn F*****G feet. I will never forget the voice that said that, it was the 2i/c's wife and she was laughing! Well I kept right on moving!

Hawhawhaw.. thanks for putting theses up Jim, it shows that everyones day can sometimes be a nmess, as for the Gunny, well, i think it is like it really is, and may i say among the toughest and best in our military, underneath was a real good man, who shone thru that way when he could, otherwise he HAD to be a HARD ASS, there is not much room for candy fluff in the business of war....and i suspect inside that gunny is a very decent man..on the job , one of the very best at his job....each leader has their own way of expression and getting the point across, and there is no time for waiting until some will get them selves with their brothers...a few good words and barks usually gets that point across when guys are in a fog , or funk...interesting material here, thanks again Jim, ranrad

Hi Chet
Yes we all were slightly bad but not in the field. The field was a place that took a lot of guts to operate on the right side!!! I can honestly say it was when they let me loose I miss behaved. Then came 30 days in jail and my O God!!! That's when I started to be a good boy. I have some fond memories. Now when I look back it was the 2nd yr in Germany I went bad!!! LOLOLOL and the next several years to make up for it.

Having not attained the rank of an MWO or CWO but obviously at various points in my career at the other end of a pacestick *ahem* so to speak.. LOL I have a lot of personal respect for those who attain the highest ranks of the non-commissioned members. On the outside looking in; and since leaving the service and reflecting on the various people I was fortunate to meet and served with I won't fall into the friendly debate of who I thought in my years was the best. We all at one time donned the uniform as what I believed to be the best soldiers in the best army in the world and its the people within that make it that way.
CSM/MWO's and CWO's and thinking on it now were the soldiers ultimately I feel responsible in telling those in their charge maybe the things others didn't want to hear or be told but still nonetheless words had to be said, actions taken, and there was a "god help you" sentiment if you did otherwise. Ergo; I knew guys who caused some trouble usually of their own accord or in a "moment of self but brief retardation" and were doing the double quick time dance in front of a CSM or CWO. Having done "escorts" on these you gain some insight and I could be wrong; not all CSM's or CWO's were about the punishing part of their job and there were times I felt if a CWO could do it another way I think they would. Despite a soldier being in shit; there was still respect it seemed. We all have or had transgressions of some kind in our career; some small, some big.
I also believed there was a certain finesse or style that encompasses those ranks. A kind of macho, edgy, confident, cockiness as it were... and I mean all those descriptions in the greatest of respect. The ranks and the men I knew who wore it, earned it, were in a completely different class that only a select few achieve and that is what makes them all the more unique; but not in a "Jerry's Kid" sort of way.. like a CWO I used to know would tell you if you were acting ... ahh... retarded. LOL

Well, Christian, i think thats very well put...and to add to it, i know much of what you said is ture..i know of many instances where CSM's and RSNs, deliberatly left out ..lets same , some transgressions to ensure a soldier would not be really adversly affected.. they were in fact "building" that soldier , not taking him down...ranrad
