Blue paint and rifles are cheap.

When it comes to defence spending so is the Canadian goverment.

Simple math.

When propaganda spread by the canadian goverment though commercials on TV on peace keeping is over and reality steps in saying Canada's army will get rid of its smaller mortars starting next year after losing a bureaucratic battle with Treasury Board, which required the military to dump one type of weapon before it could buy a new one.

Sounds like a good spot for the new Chief of Defence to jump in and ..ahem.. address this situation.. is it a test of his authority?? Who runs the army? Its NOT supposed to be politicians..and that should include bureaucrats who no not of what they say...ranrad
