Aldore, my friend, you are right!
Does anyone care to guess at the identity of the Royal on the left even if he is facing away from the camera?
Clue: The picture was taken in 1983
With my best wishes to Aldore and to all Royal Canadians, where ever you may be.
R.T.

Murray and Jim are CORRECT it is MGen Dan Spry, CO 1 RCR in Italy 1943, Commander 3 Canadian Infantry Div in Normandy, Holland and Germany 1944-1945. VCGS Ottawa in 1946 when he retired after 14 years service. Career route was Captain to Maj General in five years. He was Colonel of The Regiment in early 1970s. RIP in 1989.
Wayne:
Sorry I was slow to confirm who it is on the left. I was waiting for an ID from out there.
