Crash Action Left....I can still hear that command...Wonderful pictures!
The 106 was my first course in the battalion, and we all had a great time on the range; we actually blew the windows out of a range shack, with the back-blast during a night shoot.
Funny thing, when we moved to Milton last summer, I was walking my dogs around the neighbourhood, and I noticed this old 106 jeep in this guys garage. The space between the windows is unmistakable. I've not had a chance to talk to the gentlemen, whom I gather is restoring the jeep...perhaps I'll see him out, now that the weather has warmed up a bit.
For info: if you unscrew the ball-knob on the end of the operating-leaver, you find a spare woodruff key; a half moon shaped piece I seem to recall was used to help rotate the locking leaver, which secures the breach.
Again, great memories!
Cheers. Dave

You might want to bring some pictures, Dave... Be funny if he was a Royal, eh? Small word, sometimes.
