Good day brother's,  Thought that I would write and tell about the excellent work that I have witnessed over the last two months with the CAV.  I participated with their Ortona unit at a Motorcycle show in London On. in February. They came up with a plan to fill a WWII 105 shell with spare change and any donations people would give.  They donated $1004.83 to the London Military Family Resources Center from that shell.  This past weekend I was honoured to attend another Motorcyle show in Toronto with our Normandy unit, and the shell is travelling, the count is not yet complete.  They are gathering donations and attention to The Tony Stacey Veterans Care Center, in Scarborough.  Gentlemen, this center is a one of a kind in North America, They not only house and care for the Vet, but they allow the wives, and special care dependant's to reside with the vet in the Tony Stacey Center. This center receives very little government support and our CAV members in Toronto have taken them on as their prime charity to ride for.  Normandy had some of the residents from the center on hand at the show on Saturday.   The following day, I received so many astonishing comments from passersby about the Vet's who were in attendance, people were thankful for the introductions to them and geniunely enjoyed their time they spent with the Vet's.  I have heard from the center that that Vet's themselves were overwhelmed by the experience and the appreciation from the biker communities.  They had a great afternoon and were apprehensive to go back to the center, they talked about it all the way back home.  The CAV is now holding strength at well over 3600 members, we ride to have fun and raise funds for charities of a wide variety.  We are vet's who are not yet finished serving our country, we are bonded by our military background and our love of the open road on two wheels.  Look for the CAV at www.thecav.ca   That is my story and i'm sticking to it!  Hope your all well and happy, call if you need me!

The process at this time does not matter BJ (I havn't a clue)  You concentrate on your task at hand my friend.  The CAV would never stand before your livlihood.  When you are ready we will learn the process together.  I suspect the Battle of the Atlantic unit there in HFX will set ya up and Trapper(paul cane) will come down there and stand up your unit.  I am happy to hear you are interested BJ and knowing you the way i do, i can tell by your words that the CAV has bitten ya buddy.  This is good!  So you do what ya gotta and stay in touch, we will be there when you are ready.  Tim
