Abe, it's been a lot of years but it looks an awful lot like Jeff Wood (RIP). Was that taken in Italy? If i'm mistaken I hope no one is offended.

Hi Wayne:

You got it right on both counts. Remember the fridge on the back in the picture powered by a 6kw genny that was always full of "green grenades"?

So that's why you always guarded the fridge. 2 weeks of marching in the morning along the beaches and hills then party till the wee hours. Freedom of the city of Ortona. Ya gotta admit it Abe, life was rough.

Happy Easter

Don't you remember that truck was behind us the whole way on the march. Only Maj Leavey could have thought that one up. I remember before we left he said "we're going to do 20 k's a day and then lay on the beach and drink red wine." Then there was the 3 ton we took down that was loaded with nothing but booze and cigs. I've got a group picture taken outside some bar in Rimini that I'll put up when I find it.

I missed the group picture that night. Me and Steve Hearn went to the Playboy club with a load of British women. The things I did for my country.....

Wayne

Ran into Dutch about ten years ago here in Hamilton. Last I heard he's down the road in Port Dover running a hot dog stand.
