Just so everyone knows, the stars are part of the site. I had to set a value based on number of posts for stars to be added, so I picked the lowest possible number before another star was added.
After every five posts you get a star so:
05 Posts =
10 Posts =
15 Posts =
20 Posts =
25 Posts =
which is the maximum.
= Site Administrator
= Global Moderator
and
= Moderator of a section, like in the Photos Challenges.
If anyone would like to have a new topic area for discussion or images created, where they would be a Moderator, let me know and I'll create it for you, making your the moderator. Being a moderator just gives you special editing permissions over a particular section on the site, allowing you to vet out inappropriate comments to that section. IE: if someone signs on as a guest and plops a bunch of porn into your section, the moderator can simply delete the message.
For members who are not moderators, if you happen across something like that, there is a "Report to moderator" link at the bottom right corner of each message left. by clicking on that link, the moderator of that section will be sent an email from you, directing them to the message you've reported.
So that's about it I guess.
If anyone has an idea for a new section, or would like to run their own topic, discussion, or editorial section, let me know. Maybe you'd like to have a war stories section to bring out the writer in you of experiences from home and or abroad?
A good story with some photos might make for an interesting article in the regimental publication? The Regt Adjt, Captain Mike O'Leary
oleary.m@forces.gc.ca also monitors this site, and might find something he could use for the Connecting File or Pro Patria?
If not, at least you'd be sharing memories and experiences with other soldiers both new and old.
