Hi Jim:

Are you sure that this is a 3 RCR picture? 3 RCR rotated to Germany in 1977 and couldn't possibly have been in Cyprus then. Given the cast of characters here, I would venture to say that it's 2 RCR.

I agree with you Abe, I know Abe Zinc was in Gagetown for a long time and I do not think he ever left, plus we came back from Cyprus in April of 1977

It was in '85. I was ERE there and couldn't wait to get posted back to a battalion, so you got me posted to Winnipeg with the 3rd. MWO Tapp helped me out on that one.

Yessss! I remember that it was Bunny that came to the forefront and of course I could't say no. It was Al "Bunny" Tapp that was my instructer on my Jr NCO Course in 1962 in Gagetown and Ipperwash. It was the last "BIG" Exercise held all six Regt's were there: 1&2 Cdn Guards, 1&2 RCR, the Black Watch 1&2 Bn's, the Queen's Own 1&2 Bn's, 1&2 PPCLI and the R22er The Vandoos 1&2 Bn. Bunny asked politely and I said "Don't worry he's already posted". He didn't hear me right so I said it again "Don't worry he's already posted". Then we got into a long conversation about Army stuff. It was very nice.
