What a great message board by the way. There are a few things that bring me to this board. One is I bumped into an old Royal, Al Comeau who is with the Toronto Police Service and we just chatted about time in service etc..etc... and of course it leads to current events. You wonder, who stayed, who left, who moved onto other trades, or were promoted.
Some of the names on the board I recognize. The pictures area of the board is awesome actually, because I can go, "I know him, I know him." But unfortunately, the names get lost in memories and lack of contact.
Some of the cobwebs are shaking loose though, from my first days in the CF in Cornwallis with a then M/CPL O'Toole, Bellefe(?)I think the spelling is wrong for sure; and Baker to Battle School with, Sgt Parsons, Tibbets, Day, W/O McAndrew. I wonder of others too; W/O Ernie Ells, Sgt Jackson, Sgt Getz, W/O Freemont, W/O Ben Dufresne, RSM Joe Bentley... though I hear he is a Captain now. As I knew him from O Coy in Germany; CSM Oberwarth... hope is well. The names go on and on that I remember, just as much as the faces I know but the names elude go on and on.
But it is good to be here. Certainly reliving some really good times and admittedly (very few) bad times. All good does come with a little bad. We all know that.
