Only RSM I ever saw give the CO shit, and dismiss the Batillion because the Commander was late for his own weekly review parade.

Ditto to what you all have said. I doubt if there is enough positive to be said about this man and gentleman.. and i am kind of proud that he jacked me up once...put me on the right path with a few words, and it was all more than fair...ranrad

If I remember correctly it was a hot one and the RSM stood us all to attention at the precise time that the CO had called the parade for. We stayed at attention until the CO showed up twenty mins late, he saluted the CO turned around and shouted out "Parade Dismissed" turned back around and gave the CO what for.
Ya it is a good memory.

I've been in front of the Old Man several times, so I've met Rsm Robinson. Scared the hell out of you in his office but I have known him to be a fair soldier. It was an honour to be yelled at by him.

B.C. was the best RSM I have ever met. I too remember when we were on parade and it was cold and wet. The officers came out late and dressed nice and warm while we stood there frozen. B.C. told the Sgt majors to dismiss their companys and he went over and gave the officers shit. The co was coming out of the building and he saw what was going on and turned around and went back inside. Boy did I ever laugh at that one. I was B.C.s driver for one of the exercises in pet one year and I drove him for the duration and he treated me just fine. A great and well dressed man.

I look and think back to the RSMs, and some we knew, as well as you knew them, and as much as you needed, and have wondered how they knew, what and how to maintain as the very best standards. For sure they all learned from great ones who went before, but they all , too, added their own flair.. when one looks down the road to today , and say starts at one like BC Robinson, you can see his passing along the best as he understood ..and so on and so forth to today..and it seems we still have great RSMs amd Sgt Majors, carrying on with the highest standards.... one only has to read the rhought s of our brothers on RSMs and Sgt Majors theyknew , to know the standard remains.. that in itself is a bit amazing.. so i can only say, a top job has been done over the years by all the RSMs and Sgt Majors, and continues to this day... a lot of people are safe because of them, a lot of progress in the world of keeping peace amongst many nations for a lot of years, not to mention the wars that we were a great and proud part of...Amazing , the history in our yopung country...and all i can offer you all is my thanks for all your hard efforts...ranrad
