Hi Rick. Do I ever remember my JLC Crse !! Great times.. I like telling the story when Sgt Eric Anderson came in the class at the end of the training day and told everyone their drill mutual was listed on the bulletin board in the back of the classroom and we would be expected to teach the subject anytime beginning the next day so we better prepare. The next day, one of the navy cooks on course was panicking and as soon as he could, confronted Sgt Anderson explaining he had a real problem with the drill mutual assigned to him. He went on to explain that he'd been assigned to teach "Saluting Without Arms" but couldn't figure out how one can you salut if one has no arms !!........ LOLLLLLL.....
Rick don't know if you remember one of the students on that course: (then MCpl) Tom McCabb. He went on to commissioning and the rank of Maj. Now retired in Cape Breton Island. I talk to him almost everyday. I'll say to HI to him for you......Eli

Eli..I do remember McCabe..I had a bit of history with him..I was his instructor in Cornwallis when he was a private.. when he was a Cpl on JLC and later on his Basic Officers Training Course. Glad to see you did so well in your career. That course was a lot of fun in more ways than one..lol

Hi Rick, I'd like to think the JLC had something to do with it. I'm still in uniform looking after Basic Recruit Trg in Borden, going into my thrid year. Since "Force Expansion" the CF is enroling additional members and due to space limitation in St Jean, some are being sent to Borden for Basic Trg. We put thru about 2,000 Recruits a year both Reg and Reserve force.
You'll be interested to know Recruits are housed in the very same building we JLC Students were in back in '76.......BB T-114 and T-115. Staff Bldg is T-119 and they eat in Mess Hall T- 116...Somethings never change.........Take good care........Eli
