I’m trying to pin point Camp Maple Leaf, and some of the old OPs (OP School), using Google Earth, put I’m not sure I have it right. If anyone else is using Google Earth ( http://earth.google.com/), can they provide a better insight? I have the old airport, which we used to patrol, and I thought CML, was just down the road. This is what I have...but again, I’m unsure if this is correct or not: any takers? CML: 35° 9'10.40"N - 33°17'24.09"E Airport is just to the left: 35° 9'34.00"N - 33°16'30.98"E Ledra Palace: 35°10'40.90"N - 33°21'16.92"E Cheers, Dave

Hi Willy; I received an email from Vic last night, and responded promptly - it's good to be back in touch with him. Thanks for your help!
Ranrad; I'm sure CML was just down the road from the airport. I drove a Brit buddy back to his location late one night, and they replied in kind with some Keo Brandy....heading back, in a true Jackie Stewart fashion of an invincible (and slightly drunk, ok maybe really drunk) 19-year old, I crossed the runway, and turning back onto the road (roundabout), I hit a stone road marker and flipped the Jeep on it's side, and slid down the road hugging the wheel for about 70 feet or so. Once I stopped, I tried unsuccessfully to push the jeep back on it's wheels, and ended up running down the road to CML, and had a few of the boys come and help.
Anyway, Google Earth is a free download, which allows you to travel and view the world upon high, and zoom in...very cool stuff. I'll keep looking for some of the old OP's.
Cheers,
Dave

BBC http://wikimapia.org/1599825/Some neat pictures of the airport. http://www.pbase.com/alexis/nicFYI. On the maps, just click on the square then close the dialogue box (if there is one) At that point, your in google earth.
