Sadly the Regimental Association chain is a little weaker , with the recent passing of the following members .

Ronald Macumber passed away in London On , 08 Nov 2007 . Ronald served in Korea with The RCR . Ronald's funeral was held in London , on 12 Nov 2007 . Death notice was in the  London Free Press . "PRO PATRIA"

Raymond (Ray) Purvis passed away in Kingston On ,  10 Nov 2007 . Ray served in Korea with The RCR , and later transferred to RCASC trucking division . Ray's funeral will be held at a later  date . A celebration of the life of Ray Purvis , will be held at #560 RCL Kingston on Saturday 17 Nov 2007 2-5 PM . Suggested dress is Association blazer or suit . Death notice was in the  Kingston Whig Standard . "PRO PATRIA"

Gordon (Gordy) Wade passed away in Smiths Falls On , 10 Nov 2007 . Gordy was a veteran of WW2 serving in the merchant navy , and later served in Korea with The RCR , and later transferred to the RCAF . Gordy's funeral  was held in Carleton Place , on 14 Nov 2007 . Death notice was in the Ottawa Citizen . "PRO PATRIA"

My sympathy goes out to the families and friends of Ronald Macumber , Raymond Purvis , and Gordon Wade .

My condolences to family and friends.

The Regiment has lost three Korean veterans in the course of three days. Perhaps we should have something special for those who served in Korea next year at the reunion before it is too late to pay them the respects they deserve.
