Deployment to Afghanistan

Hello to Everyone.  Haven't been on site for awhile.  Work and my wife fractured her left arm.  Cast off now.  I work for Commissionaires - British Columbia.  I am a Site Corporal and I recieved an e-mail from my office.  All Commissionaires (Police and Combat Arms) are asked to man the front gate of Kandahar Airfield.  It's a one year posting.  Wife not to happy but she knows that it's important for me to go.  I hopefully will be selected to go.  Should know by November 15th.  Can't think of a better way to SUPPORT OUR TROOPS.  Commissionaires have always manned the gates of our military bases.  Wish me luck to the posting.

Thanks Mike and RanRad.  I know we've been there and done that.  It will be my last patrol as this dog is getting old.  I have long aboriginal long hair almost to my butt.  Will get a military cut when confirmed of deployment.  Told the Harbour Master that the one to cut has to make a donation of more than a thousand dollars.  All checks will not be refunded but turned over to the Military Family Fund.

Thanks for the support, guys.  How do you post photos on this site.  Not the best person with computer.  Rusty, 7 Section, 6 Platoon, Bravo Company may ride again.  Got a pay from 35,000 and change to 55,000 and change.  After 6 months deployment qualify for Afghanistan medal.
