Finally mustered enough nerve to announce myself after following the goings on for a couple of months. A little background- enroled 1969, then OCTP in Chilliwack, Borden and Gagetown. posted to 3 RCR as a tyro Pl Comd ably guided by Fred Martingale and Ron Munroe, then to 3 Mech, then RSS in TO with Frank Funston and a sgt named Hussey, (nickname- mukluck face), then 1RCR as UEO with Jim Hickson, Al Willis and Dennis Leblanc, then to Base as the Coord of Official Languages (not bad for someone who, on occassion, has trouble with english), then to UNTSO with Ray Approbert and Geordie Elms, then RSS Owen Sound following Ian McLean and with Paul Curtis, Militia Training Center in Borden with Al Ereault, 4RCR with Bob Card, Ward Gapp and Art Babin, back to Meaford then recruiting in Sidney NS, then the West Nova Scotia Regt with Curtis again and several others who's names escape me at the moment, and finallt to the Cadet Det in London with Reg Thompson.
I enjoyed my service and this enjoyment is now gained from keeping track of the various strands herein. Thanks for your patience in reading this and for the contact with those of a "particular age".
