It is Meaford had a front end loader dig most of it; then went back to the old pick and shovel method! Took 4 days of digging afterwords !

One time, in Meaford......... Grin

We broke every pick and shovel in the Bn and ran the pioneers out of beehives...........
After a while Ray McIntyre would come around with a wrecking bar and a brick of C-4, poke a hole in the ground stuff in the C-4 and light the fuse. All it did was make small bits of clay out of big bits of clay..........

Still had to dig in.

Tony?Joey
I was sure that in 1974 3RCR was  in Petawawa, I RCR was in London and 2 was in Gagetown.  I reason I wasn't sure is because we went to Oct  Cyprus in 74 and I couldn't remember the Ex in Meaford at that time. A- ha, I too have CRAFT syndrome that developed from a severe case of APD (aluminium pot decease)  think I got it from the Mess Tins.

have a great day

 flashback

Ahhhh yes it's all coming back to me now. I remember you for sure Tony . Yes Donnie Gendron was the tpt. Sgt. I was his 2i/c. Don Brealy was the sigs nco. I was taliking to Tom Whitehead a couple of years ago. He was up this way hunting with Bert Furlott . They both stopped in . I am living outside Eganville now I had a restaurant in Golden Lake and sold it a couple of years ago. My wife is from Golden Lake if anybody remembers Jack Burton I see him quite often he is living in the Eganville area also. He was married to my wife's sister. where are you living now Tony and what are you up to? I'm semi retired driving a school bus. I am waiting for my wife to retire in two years from the public service and who knows I might just fully retire than too. Yes BJ 3 RcR was in Pet at that time 1st Bn in London and 2nd Bn Gagetown. I was 2nd Bn in Germany and got posted to 3rd Bn in Pet. When I left Germany they were just in the process of forming 3mec comando. Do you remember Pete Donovan Tony? He is living in Halifax now I haven't talked to him for a couple of years . Well take care and chow fer now.
