Just returned from a weekend of going to a Powwow.  Wore my combats from the 70's with beret and cap badge.  All Veterans of any Nations are asked to join.  We are asked to carry the Flags (I carried the American Flag).  A Flag song is drummed for all the Veterans who have passed away.  A Charging song is then played where at the end the Eagle Staffs and Colours are posted.  They are taken down before supper.  We do it all again around 1900 hrs and usually take them down at 2200 hrs.  We get speak at some of them and sometimes an Honour dance is given.  Sometime gas money is, also, given.  I wear my CF Greens or Combats at the local Powwows in the area.  I am now catching up on the postings.
