Thanks Ron  Were you in Lourogina (?) when 6 Plt had their Christmas Dinner.  Always thought his name was Bob for some reason.  Met his daughter in Park Hotel Cafe in Grande Prairie, Alberta in the 80's where she was waitressing. Good company commander.

Hi I not sure if you remember me but I was in 6Pl prior to Cyprus and I was sent to Egypt in 73 and when I returned I was put in 4 Pl for the tour. Oh yeah, I went by the nick name as Rusty. I hung with Ed Loveless, Larry King, Dave Romain, Lance Shelton, Larry McLeod, and you to name a few. I remember my time with 6Pl with fondness. I see Ed Loveless evry Month or so. I stay at his place in Halifax when I am up there. We talk alot about those years and have mentioned you many times. Eddie will be delighted to know that you were on the RCR net work. I will tell hime to contact you.
Have a great evening.

Thanks B.J.  I remember you.  Say hello to Ed for me.  It really helps my sobriety to find old buddies from my old unit.  Think of you guys all the time of how you helped me.  Take care, brother.

Didn't it snow on our Regiment's Birthday because I'm sure that there was snow on the ground when me and some of the boys serenaded the Major early Christmas morning.  That cook we had served brandy merinated steaks.  God, they were good.  Remember Rusty, Jerry and Wayne.

The reason I remember it snowing was I was very drunk when I asked Sgt. Hennick if it really was snowing and he said it was.  From what I was told, I tripped and slid across a table, sat straight up and walked away as if nothing happened.  He met me at the door and told me to go bed.  I did.  Roof of outpost on Stavros blew off during the storm.  Lantern dropped onto the lap of the soldier on duty.  I think it was Lance Shelton.  These two stories were told to me afterwards.  The first one may have happened and I remember going up the next day to help fix the outpost.

David
I stayed at Ed Loveless'  house last Wed and Thur evening. I told him that you were on the RCR network. He asked me to say Hi old dog, and he was happy to see that you are still around. Ed retired about 3 yrs ago as a Chief (MWO) in the navy, he now works for the DND as an operator of one of the submarine trainers.
I live in Kingston NS and I retired Sep with 35 yrs to the Regiment. I have a contract with the DND to train memebers of the Naval Ships Boarding Team, in the art of Hand to hand combat. It has kept me in touch with the service this last year so retirement is going well.
Stay happy
