Sgt. ( Retired) Gerald Roy Fletcher - CD, The RCR, Para Company 1948-1951, RCAF 1953-1970. Suddenly at his home on July 29th,2007. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Doreen (nee Belec ) and their 8 children,Tim ( Doreen ), David (Michelle ), Roy, Kathy ( Andy ), Jean ( Steve ), Brian ( Sylvia ), Laura ( Lester ) and Wendy. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and his first great- grandchild on the way. Predeceased by his parents Roy Maughn and Ivy Jane Fletcher ( nee Carr ) and stepmother Isabel. Retired of Sears ( Pen Center ) and most recently by Trojan Security at Acres House, Niagara Falls. Gerald was an active member of Legion Branch 51 and a proud veteran in his maroon beret on Remembrance Day.

Visitation will be from 7 - 9 PM, with a closed casket.  The funeral is on Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 4673 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls, if there are any paras in the area.
