EXACTLY 64 years ago today we landed on the beach of Pachino just as the sun was starting to rise in the east. A very EXCITING DAY INDEED .Looking back -- I would not have missed it for all the world. The thrill of a lifetime. BUT ALSO VERY DANGEROUS TOO. Even after all these years, it never leaves your mind.

To all Royals, Hasty P's and 48th"s. A well done on your representation at the Ceremony celebrating " Pachino" Sicily Day at the Hastings & Prince Edward Regiment, Belleville. July 10. 2007.It was great to see Gen Holmes and the Kingston boys drop by for some Spaghetti and Wine.As well it was a pleasure to tip a cup with the 48th boys.Hope to see you all next year at this function. Anticipating RCR Reunion in 2008.
