I just returned from a visit to the Werl Cementary in Germany while on holidays in Europe.   I placed Canadian Flags on four head stones of fellow Royals.  I felt all the souls resting there are the forgotten ones.  You can view the headstones on the Photo challenge.  I knew three of them Jones who I did my Basic Training with in 1962, he was killed in Amsterdam.  Morris who I served with C Coy 1 RCR early sixties, murdered in Soest.  Gord "Bow" Hines killed in a training accident.  Curtis I didn't know , but was wondering why "Black Watch" was on his headstone??    If anyone can provide me with accurate details of these soldiers I would appericate it.
I would encourage everyone to speak or write their member of parliament to keep this cementary well groomed and maintained.   While it is in decent condition it is nothing like the war cementaries in Holland.  I feel these soldiers laying  in Werl deserve nothing less.  Thank you  Ron "Trooper" Green
