Ma'Sum Ghar, Afghanistan
Private Herman Williams of India Company, 2nd Batallion Royal Canadian Regiment (I Coy 2 RCR) cleans and lubricates the .50 calibre machinegun in an observation post (O.P.) at the Canadian Forward Operating Base (FOB), Ma'sum Ghar, Afghanistan. The O.P.'s are manned by lookouts day and night to provide security for the camp.

Thick, heavy clouds herald the arrival of an unusual summer rainstorm at the Canadian Forward Operating Base (FOB) at Ma'sum Ghar, Afghanistan. The storm is a spinoff from the weather systems that have ravaged Pakistan in the last several days.

greta shots of the troops. I saved them to a file I have been putting together for my son in law who was there with 2RCR I Coy.
