Jim..the Sgt behind me is Deke Kingston, beside me is TA Smith, the Sgt who was killed that night you speak of was Pete Vallance. Interestingly enough Petes best freind was the armourer at the time, Sgt Don Davidson. He is currently the Director of the Korean Vets asociation and I see him once in a while at the ANAF club in Waterloo

Hi Aldore
Yes, that what I thought. I couldn't think of the name, but I'm testing out my memory each time I answer a post. Thanx a lot Aldore.

Looking at the pic again, I think the young LCpl seated in the pew to the right of Charlebois is Donnie Riley

Hi Rick,
Your absolutely correct on this one Rick, sorry Jim, Pete Valllance, was my Platoon Sgt at the time and one of the best Sgt's I ever served under always looking out for the walfare of his men. We were young soldiers at the time and were devastated with the loss of Pete turning our world upside down. RIP, Pete.
PS: I still remember the car that he died in as if it were yesterday.

Lcpl Frank Charlebois was a clerk in one of the companies at time of photo. He got out of the army and lived in Toronto area in 1968-1969. In front of Frank is Korea vet T.A. Smith. All the best, RT
