Hello, Guess it is trime to introduce myself. I am Mary Ann, I was married to WO Michael Peace who served with the RCR's, he served in Cyprus, two tours of Yugoslavia, Germany, Winnipeg and then was attached to 403 Squadron until the time of his death in Oct. 2000. I received the Silver Cross in June 2005 which was my decision as my work was not complete. I like to check in on the site to see what everyone is doing. I see Moses probably yells bingo for money now. Abe, well, poor guy , I remember when I broke the news to him about Mike. It wasnt funny then, but I think about the choice of words. The RCR's have been the Family for 26 years and it is hard to cut the velcro. I have made many friends, we all grew up together and we have lost friends in our journeys. But, this is a great site and love how you guys reminisce about your days. LOL, guess I am too. I also want to thank the Battalion for their wonderful support in the past, it will never be forgotten.
Pro Patria Mary Ann

Hi Mary Ann,
I new Mike for many years, and last in Winnipeg; we shared many a laughs together. I was truly saddened when I heard the news.
However, I am glad you are part of our online community, we need to be kept inline now and again.
Hope all is well!
Cheers,
Dave

What I admire about the Canadian military is the regular everyday people who work for them. They want to do meaningful, satisfying work and are willing to go anywhere in the world in order to help people. This desire to work toward a common goal in helping others and bettering an overall situation is not part of the neo-Liberal capitalist ideology permeating society today. And I think Canadian soldiers for the most part have noble deeds in mind while they are overseas. My fellow Canadians are splendid and noble citizens of the world.

Hello Everyone, Thanks for the kind words and stories. Yes, Mike did leave an impression with a lot of people. But, let it be known that I will never forget my military friends as I do have many who still keep in contact. I also have many new memories that have been made in the past six and half years. The best one would be my grand - daughter Annabelle who is now 2 1/2. Thanks for listening guys, Have a Happy Canada Day and Support our Troops! Mary Ann
