Annual International Emergency Response Day
This program has been in place since 1991 under the direction of Constable Bob McIlmoyle, Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service's Community Services Officer. The program is designed to involve area youth & police / emergency services from both Canada and the United States. The event takes place at the Gemini Sportsplex, Strathroy, Ontario.
This years event is scheduled for May 2, 2007 with a parade at 9:30 a.m. and a static display at the Gemini Sportsplex from 11:00 a.m. to 4: p.m.
We expect over 60 service agencies with 100 displays. Approximately 5,000 area school children are bused to this event annually as well as being opened to the general public.
Anyone in the London area interested in seeing great displays from various police agencies of Canada and the US as well as Canadian Armed Forces Diplays is invited to attend free of charge.
