Jim. a lot has changed in this picture.  All the buildings on the right side are torn down and civilian housing being built. The gym has been taken over by the city. A fence runs east west behind the sgts mess and new buildings  built where the ball fields were.

If you look real close you can see Bill Southwell and Eldore McIntyre sneaking into the mess for a few beers , during working hours .

Nice picture, Jim. About what date was it taken? Hey, you would not happen to have a photo of the parade square and barrack blocks, eh? Lots of memories on that chunk of asphalt, let me tell ya! snicker. The most vivid, of course, was being awarded the eight-pointed star after completing depot.... ah, those were the days! BTW, the second most memorable experience would be getting caught sauntering across the parade square after lunch one day and not having my arms swinging at a suffciient height to please CWO Girden who, magically, appeared out of nowhere! Man, could that dudes voice ever carrrrryyyyyyyy when he was pissed.....bwahahahahahaaaaaaa! Good man, good memories.    Pro Patria! Mike.
