When the Canadian Brigade was reduced in strength and moved down south about 1970, Elizabeth decided it was time to retire.  The army brass treated her to a cross-Canada tour of all the major bases so that she could say her last farewell to the troops.  London was not included in the tour destinations but she must have been to Petawawa.  When the troops were in quarters Elizabeth was a well known counter lady in the Sally Ann canteen on Bruderstrasse in Soest.  Regards to all, RT
