I bounced around this message board for about two years guess it's time I introduced myself my name is Jesse Reed and I joined the Regiment in 1954 and spent six months  depot training in Ipperwash anchor heights PL. Posted to D company 1 RCR went to Germany in 55-57,  62 - 65.

Major Graves was a company commander in 55, Captain Niche the 2I/C and Tommy Faucher was the CSM. Two platoon commanders I can remember was black Bart Smith and Dusty Owns.

Some of the NCOs Sergeant John O'Neill, Tug Wilson, Sergeant Rushmore, Rockie O'Connor, Corporal Adams, Jimmy Whitmore, Art Cranston, Norm Pope,

Remember a lot of the guys in the company - Bill Norman, Art Triple, Mike Brewer, Al Tapp, Jim Horn, Mike Ryan, Caldwell, squirrel Burnett, Jack Hillman, Hummer McNeil, John McKinsey, Ralph Brandon, Hence Casper, Anderson, Clyde Wilson, Bob Adair,

Some of you may remember Premeao who was electrocuted climbing the high tension tower between  Blondies and Ranch House and Trakalo who drowned in the Monasea.  Both of these men were D. company personnel and are buried in Hanover.

I retired on March 21, 1971 and moved to Brampton Ontario in 1977 and worked for the city's animal control as forman.  I joined the Scottish Regiment in 1978 and retired from their as CSM of A company in 1998. And that's it in a nutshell.

I made some changes to the RCR  slideshow it can be seen at the following URL  for those of you have not seen it. http://cellulardefenseteam.com/slideshow.htm

Hi Rick it is nice to hear from you and yes I’m alive and kicking and in good health.  I will be in London the next few weeks maybe we can have a coffee together and talk over old times. Where is Angus McDonald’s pie shop located and what time do you guys meet their.  I’m not doing much these days my wife passed away on August 15. I just sit in front of my computer making slideshows and running a business online. Take care old friend hope to see you soon…  Jesse... Pro Patria

Hi Jess...Angus McDonalds pie shop is actually named Scotian Isles Bakery. Its located in a small plaza at the corner of Hamilton Road and Highbury Ave. The boys are usually there from 0830 till 1030 every Wednesday morning. The plaza is on the North East corner of that intersection. I only get there about once a month since Ive moved but I'm sure you ll see lots of faces you know...Pro Patria
