Hi Moe:
I remember taking down the beds and moving them down the street and setting up again. The course itself was the first CLC run at the SSFTC. Later on we found out it had qualified us to 6A. The interesting thing was the diversity. There was arty, engineers, armour, airborne and of course you lads from 1 RCR who had the jump on the rest of us by having a whole weekend to get your things in order for the course. Not that the course comd (who was from 1 RCR) had anything to do with that. One platoon was treated rather gently while the other (which I was in) had it rough. An example of that was the easy platoon rode to the ranges while we forced marched. Quite a few of the airborne fellows in the picture were PPCLI, so it was very unique. Charlie Toope is in the top row. I believe there is more to this picture as a few guys are missing. One is Rick Burton. I used to have this picture at one time but lost it over the years. Think you could get me a copy of the original? It would be most appreciated.
