Hi I'm new to this message board, my name is Terry Goode, male, 54 years old. I enjoy reading the stories & going through the messages no this site. I am researching my family line in the Boar War, WW1 & WW2. I live in Ottawa, Ont. Ca. & i want to go too the Archives here, so i would like to get as much imformation as posible so that i know what to look for. My first question is on Lieutenant Arnold Goode, he signed up for active duity sometime after Oct. 19 1942. Before this it is said that he was training troups for duty. He died on the 16th Sept. 1944 in Coriano Ridge in Italy. He is listed on the Commonwealth War Graves web site as a Unkown RCR Canadian, so how would i go about tracing an unkown unit?
Thanks & keep the stories comming.

Thanks Geoff, The first link i have seen before but i see it has expanded a lot sence the last time i was there. The other link looks interisting. The records in the Arcives here in Ottawa is massive, i realy need to find out the units that Arnold was in to reduce the search time. I'll go check out these links.
Thanks

Based on what I read on the first link he was with "The Royal Canadian Regiment" but it didn't say which battalion. I would think that the archive will provide the answers, might take some digging, Good luck
