LOL..I remember Dunphy and reminds me of an occasion during RV81 when CWO Hickson held a parade and called out approx. 30 names..Those of us in ranks thought it was an impromptu promotion parade. Grin...Then in came the MPs...Jim says "take a a good look here boys, these are druggies and they're goin' to jail....march 'em away!"   Grin Grin Grin Grin

I'd always heard it was RSM Northrupp who announced that on a battalion parade in RV 81

That was the "No Live No Drive group"

Thats interesting of dunphy being a nark as I was in London at the time of the big busts and never ever thought Dunphy was a nark. We had quite a few rats though.I seen a Dunphy in the paper a couple of years ago in Ottawa won a prize with CHEO do not know if same Dunphy.

Cheers Randy

You're probably correct...I do know the majority of those called out were B Coy...and CSM Jim was not a happy camper about that fact...and let those called out and the rest us know it.

the rat was a little puke named Merrit Cameron who ratted about 12 pages of foolscape. Don and about 7 others all were sentenced to sdb (field courtmartials rv 81). Check with John Sauliner, he was posted to sdb when they there. MP"S and SIU had a deal if you wrote a statement and you were charge free. Hence guys like Steve Surette and Donnie Currell never got charged. Cameron implicated everyone he could thinkof and was released in a hurry, too bad he was the supplier.

Doug,

You old dog Dougie, my last posting was with you in 450 Sqn in Ottawa before I received my 3A release. Where are you hanging your hat at now a days Doug. I am out in St. Albert, Alberta working for the provincial government. Take care and keep in touch.
