Geez , you seem to have a lot of power behind you there Gerry... you look like a combat medic here , all that good Infantry trg would likely serve you well all thru your career.....maybe they found something there but didnt see the forest for the trees....ie, being a full fledged combat trade before anything else....well, just a thought.. i think it was that way at one time.... good pic tho.. looks like your enjoying your break...lol.. ranrad

Hi Gerry

I agree with Ron. Where did you get the combat trg lololol. I'll bet your bottom dollar that the time you were in 1 RCR paid off. Pro Patria.

Jim

PS The rest of the pictures are great!

thanx Jim & Ranrad; after I remustered I spent 2 years at Halifax and then 5 years at Chatham. I enjoyed  those times there but I was kind of glad of getting back to the real field and puttin'  mud on the black cadillacs  (ie 2RCR), even though I (good naturely) bitched (eg rats etc) while I was there. (not whinin' or compainin' that's different)  Grin . All soldiors bitch about something; if a soldior ain't bitchin' about something, then usually there's  something wrong

Hi Jim ,Gerry; i know the feeling about getting back.. and agree with Jim, as i know myself i learned more about being a soldier by trying to be one and being with those who knew how, than i ever did anywhere else...maybe the military needs to get back to soldier first and then...,,, because the training serves one and the military best that way...Gerry, they have gum and even puffers and candies now... the patch did nothing for me.. ended up smoking more..lol.. ranrad
