Being a member of 1RCR at the time, I was fortunate enough to have been on summer tasking in Ipperwash during the summer of 1983 and, as such, was relegated to observer status through most of the festivities. it was a memorable experience, particularly the following sequence of photos...

What a rush it was to sit in the bleechers when the bands marched the lads march onto the field....

Beautiful pics Mike; I was a young no-hook pte, worked most of the Reunion, but had the last nite off: what a freakin' blast! I will never forget it!

Gerry, were you on parade? I don't know if I was lucky or not being in the stands watching instead of marching. One hell of a day, never felt prouder in my life of those who I served with and The Regiment that drew us all together. Got some more stuff and a new scanner....
