Re: Kelly Smith. Would this be the same Kelly that joined about 1979/80. Went oridginally to the 1st Bn. From Stratford, Ont. I was still in London when he arrived from battleschool.
I heard he later remustered to firefighter & was posted to the west coast. Last I heard he was still out west. Info a few years old.
Kelly and I went to highschool together & I got the info from a highschool friend of his.

Best Wishes: Rick

Hey Gene, that was in Ludwigshafen..Carter was drivin' the white BMW and had Lutz and Miller in his car...Adler, Burton and myself were in your Red BMW....Ummm....we never quite made it into the concert, but it was definitely a wild night..Still remember the cast on your ankle sticking out from the curtain at that " bar" we ended up at....

Towgunner:

Just spoke to Ed Willet last week or the week before about the Reunion, he's in Borden now doing a civilian contract job can't remember the exact details, but is definitely coming to the Reunion this August. Chris Carter, I work with a guy by the name of Chris Carter he's an Admin WO, and the Captain of my pool league team, he was in 2 RCR 81 then Germany 82 then back to Gagetown in 86 write back if this is the right guy and I'll let him know how to get ahold of you.

Hey Gene:

Chris says Hi, and he's gonna give you a shout!! Also he says to mention that it wasn't a Neil Young concert it was a Crosby, Stills, and Nash concert and Blue Oyster Cult didn't show up so CSN played for like two hours, and it was in Manhiem!! Anyway man, he just left my office, take care and maybe we can share some stories over a few wets at the Reunion.

Ya Ok, Thanks Doug....Tell Carter...that I must of been dreaming or halucinating that we lost the car for how many hours? 3 or 5 after the concert when he couldn't remember where he parked it. And it wasnt Crosby, Stills and Nash it was definitely Neil Young...Give that man a slap for me...LOL>>>>

Furthermore, Blue Oyster Cult did show up...there was a rumor floating around the stadium that Neil Young was going to show up for a reunion with CSN......Peter Tosh, some band called Ice House and a few others jammed that day/night.

Knowing Chris and the amount of concerts we did over there, it's quite understandable if his recollection of some details may be somewhat "vague"... Grin Grin

We might have ended up in Mannheim that night, but ZZ Top was definitely playing Ludwigshafen.
