Capt William Grant Pippy passed away in Cambridge On , on Tuesday Jan 03, 2006 . Funeral Saturday Jan 07, 2006 at 11AM at St Jerome's University , Notre Dame Chapel , University of Waterloo , 290 Westmount Rd North Waterloo On . 519-884-8110 .
Bill was extremely popular in the regiment , and played hockey on the regimental team in Brockville.
He joined the Stormont Dundas Glengarry Highlanders at the outbreak of WW2 .He returned from overseas in the early forties and was commissioned .He then returned overseas and rejoined the "Glens" as a replacement platoon commander in NW Europe . After WW2 he was posted to Brockville as a Sergeant , and was commissioned once again a few years later . Bill was a member of the RCR Association , and a proud member of the Regiment . "PRO PATRIA" .
