Some of the best beer I ever tasted in my life was in the very same surroundings of the picture. What is it about the smell of canvas, sweat and that sense of accomplishment that comes after a hard day (or days, or weeks) of infanteering that makes beer taste like da nectar of the Godsss... Good picture.

Hey Geoff, that was the day I took a spin off my grizzly and whacked my back off side as I fell. We were at the end of PETCON and doing maintenance. You came over to see and said.. "What the f--- happened!?" I didn't want to go to the MIR, but you and somebody else dragged me there. I was checked over, given some flexeril (muscle relaxant) and ordered by the MO no alcohol as it may enhance the effects of the me. Well, it was the company smoker that night  & I would be GDed if wasn't going to have a few wobbly pops...let's just say I only had about 3 beers when that pic was taken early in the evening & I wasn't feeling NO pain at all. The other guy in the pic was Kenny St. Croix; this was there first ex as they had just arrived from Battle School under the YTEP program.
