If memory serves me right, I think it was Joe Parsons (aka Sparky) RIP who led the detachment of Royal Canadians in Kuwait. I'm guess it was he.

Yes, Rick. Joe was a damn good guy. As you may recall, I met him back in seventy eight when I joined you guys in Pioneers... my most memorable recollections of those times and Joe was the time the Germans came to pick us up in their helicopters to attack this Norwegian on top of this mountain.. anyhow, I was a C2 gunner, in the side seats of the ole hueys, Sparkey is sitting beside me as the chopper  maneuvers up the side of this mountain... freaking rotor blades looked way to close to the slope for my liking... anyhow, the N'wegies can see us coming and, naturally, would have blown the hell out of us but we carries on anyway... The helicopter levels off, the German guy goes rouse, I looks, out, holy crap, the ground, slope wise, was eight feet under the skids. Joe looks at me, says we 'll all be killed, and pushed me out. He landed about two feet beside me, sheet, snow was about six feet deep, by the time we got straitened out and got out snow shoes even the umpire was laughing... Hilarious.

Speaking of fish falling out of the sky, I wonder if anybody has any pictures of the lake we, ah. blew up by mistake. chuckle. Or that bridge we were to build and, after all the wood was cut and dragged out of the bush, S. realized the main beams were a foot to F'n short...

What did Ray do after getting smacked in the head with the fish? Sheesh, of all people to get it, eh? Were there witnesses?
