Front row 6th from right, the CSM is Stu Mossip and on his right is Gordie Cleveland. I still salmon fish with Gordie and John LeBlanc every year on the Miramichi River.

Thats right Rusty Bassarab was the OC.... I wish I could remember more I know the faces but the mind slips a bit sometimes. I was up to see Mcpl Shawn MacDonald this summer in Gagetown and didn't run into anyone that I knew in Battalion and I've only been out 5 years!!

Hi guys

I went through Battle School with Chad Kendall.... he was one crazy newfie.... And as for Hector was the transport NCO so I saw lots of him at B1. The OC,CSM and CQ are right and I think that is Ken Butterworth to the left of Mr Bassarb.

Alan

PS for some reason my crazy old PL WO Joe Bennet missed the pic..... When a bunch of us left for Germany he had a BBQ at his place and it was a blast. He was also my PL WO for battle school. A great guy

Hi Mike

You see, I have gone through many Pl and Coys in my 38 yrs and have met and befriended many people only to see them go at the 3 yr point even though of Germany. Very few signed on for 1 year to finish the 3 yr tour in Germany. The same thing for Cyprus or Jamaica or Puetro Rico or Norway or Denmark or RV's wherever they were held or trips to the artic. The one thing I can say, I'm the only one who stayed in after my 1st tour was up. I signed on for 1 yr and when I got back there was Cyprus and then Jamaica and then Pureto Rico and then their was signing on for the new ORCDP and then I was a CSM IN 1981 and I could stay til 52 yrs old and then it was 1986 and I was promoted RSM AND STAY UNTIL I WAS 55 YRS OLD. So you know what I did then? I stayed until I was unable to stay again.
