Fred I remember that one 1982 Pumas dropped us like 5 klicks away on the wrong mountian side
Was that the one where we did a relief in place of the Airborne and the Americans attacked half way through
Their (American) guys falling threw the Ice and tents catching fire ..... a real mess

That was a wild night, sweating like crazy then laying in the snow @ -35 for a couple of hours and freezing
The Americans had a couple Die from hypothermia (Fell threw the ice) and the Italian officer (FOO) who was attached to the airborne burned to death when the artic tent flamed out from the mountian stove.
The ravine crossing was a hoot hanging from the tiller bar 100 feet off the ground over the edge of the cliff was freaky
