Hello:  I'am trying to locate information on my grandfathers regiment - battalion - He was a private in the Royal Canadian Regiment 24th Atholl Battalion in WW l.  He enlisted 3-1-1917 and discharged 4-10-1919 - served in Belgium & France.  I'am in the process of sending for his military records - but I'am looking for any information on the regiment - battalion with no success online.  I would greatly appreciate any information or direction on the above.   Thanks to all.    Sandi

Hello Sandi,  The 24th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force was recruited in Montreal and was affiliated with the Victoria Rifles, it was not part of The Royal Canadian Regiment. Good luck in your search. Hugh Conway
