The walls were painted by members of 9 Platoon, C Company, 1 RCR during our Cyprus tour of 83-84. The walls were in Maple House, the platoon house. There was lot of great artwork painted on those walls by all the platoons of C Company who stayed in the house. It is too bad they were painted over, our members put a lot of work into those painting. Its funny seeing the pictures, I have all the same ones at home.

BJ REMEMBER THE BUNKER, ART'S AND MY SECTION HAD TO DIG AT IRISH BRIDGE,FOR THE CO TO USE THAT XMAS,THE BLEEDING TURKS WAITED TILL WE HAD PUT THE FIRING PORTS IN AND ABOUT 3 OR 4 TONS OF DIRT ON TOP,THEN PUT A PROTEST IN THAT THE PORTS WERE FACING THEM,SO WE HAD TO PUT A TARP OVER THEM TO HIDE THEM, THEN HAD TO REMOVE THEM ALTOGETHER, REMEMBER WHAT I DID TO THE TARP??..............NO!............I USED MASKING TAPE AND MADE IMMITATION FIRING PORTS ALONG WITH BLACK PAINT,FROM A DISTANCE THEY LOOKED REAL OR SO THE TURKS THOUGHT AS THEY PROTESTED AGAIN SO WHEN THE BN OPS O CAME OUT I HAD ROLLED THE TARP UP HE COULDN'T UNDERSTAND IT, SO HE LEFT AND I ROLLED THE TARP DOWN AGAIN AND YES THEY PROTESTED AGAIN ETC ETC THINK I KEPT IT UP FOR TWO OR THREE DAYS. THEN I PAINTED OP ORANGE IN FRENCH ALBEIT GREEK BLUE THE TURKS WENT NUTS, I SIGNED OP ORANGE OVER TO THE VANDOOS ON SHIT PAPER EH! AND THEY SIGNED IT.
