I believe it is past time that this country paid more attention to its surviving veterans who have won the DCM, which of course is 2nd in precendence after only the Victoria Cross. We readon this column of Mr Major who ha s won not one but two DCM. in two different wars.. and who knows who he is, and the deeds he has done, and the esteem in which he is held by the Dutch.I believe these DCM winners should be special guests at the National Remembrance Day Program in Ottawa, every year .,for the years they have left.. it is the least we can do as a grateful nation. At present we do not have any surviving VC winners, there are several DCM recipients. This is not to take away anything from any other veteran, they were/ are ALL HEROES... they have all put themselves forward for their fellow man, they have all paid a price. I believe strongly that the Fed Gov, needs to take a leading role in recoqnition of these men... ranrad
