Hey Rudy. Didn't Norm get a medal or something for his actions in the aftermath of the grenade accident which killed Victor Wedel and Woods over in Germany?

I couldn't tell you Mike, I didn't make that trip up north at the time as I was laid up in the hospital in Baden after my back operation. Don't really know the details of the accident. By the way, the guy on the left is Derek Manning.

Yeah, I had the operation done in Lahr right after I finished working on the ISSC course as an instructor up at Ebersteinberg. Stayed two weeks in Lahr before being transferred to Baden.

Dont think Norm was credited for his actions that morning on the range....that was a real shitty excercise, all kinds of bad Karma after that, we had half our Tow Missiles grounding out and .50 cals blowing up that year. God bless Victor and Jeff, they gave it their all that day, and we shall never forget them.....RIP Brothers. Pro Patria

Hi guys, Norm received a CDS commendation for his actions that day. Ran into him a lot in Gagetown and lost track in the mid 90s.
